Our Mission
The Somjit Somjai Foundation is a Non-Profit 501(c)(3) organization focused on empowering youth through basketball. By facilitating basketball equipment donations and offering comprehensive youth basketball programs, the foundation creates valuable opportunities for young individuals to learn and actively engage in the sport.
Our Story
We are Aaron Somjai Richards and Adam Somjit Richards, two brothers who established the Somjit Somjai Foundation, a nonprofit organization focused on providing opportunities for youth through sports. From a young age, sports have been a significant part of our lives, starting with our passion for soccer, moving on to taekwondo, and ultimately dedicating most of our time to basketball. This sport has greatly impacted our lives by helping us connect with others and build relationships. Through our initiative, we aim to introduce youth basketball programs to those who may not have access to them. Basketball is not just a game; it teaches valuable life skills such as teamwork, determination, and communication while promoting healthy exercise. Furthermore, we advocate for basketball equipment donation to ensure that every child has the necessary tools to succeed.
Staff and Volunteers
Aaron Somjai Richards - Founder. Aaron Somjai is a student at Miami University of Oxford, Ohio, where he studies Sport Management and Fashion. He is passionate about supporting youth basketball programs, including his involvement with the Somjit Somjai Foundation, which focuses on basketball equipment donation to enhance these initiatives.
Adam Somjit Richards - Founder. Adam Somjit is a student at William and Mary University in Williamsburg, Virginia, pursuing a degree in Economics/Finance and Music. He shares a commitment to strengthening youth basketball programs through the Somjit Somjai Foundation.

Our History
The Somjit Somjai Foundation, established in January 2023 and located in Virginia Beach, Virginia, is committed to enhancing youth basketball programs by providing basketball equipment donations.
What We Offer
We offer basketball equipment donations to various locations as needed, providing basketball hoops and other essential equipment required to play the game. Through the Somjit Somjai Foundation, we also supply a basic basketball rulebook for newcomers to the sport who need fundamental instructions, thereby supporting youth basketball programs in their development.
